During March-April, Ukraine exported 840 thousand tons of grain, majority of exports - corn.
In March, Ukrainian grain exports amounted to only 217 thousand tons, in April increased to 622 thousand tons, expectations for May - up to 1 million tons (as of May 19, since the beginning of the month Ukraine exported 643 thousand tons of grains, which is more than for the whole April).
As Ukrainian ports remain blocked, the main routes for Ukraine's grain exports are currently rail transportation through Poland, Romania and Moldova, as well as barges on the Danube to the Romanian port of Constanta.
Compared to last year, grain exports from Ukraine decreased significantly, the dynamics is shown in the chart below:
