According to Ukrtsukor association since the start of new season and by December 21 total sugar production in Ukraine made 1.94M tons.
As of reporting date 13.22M tons of sugar beets have been processed, so net sugar yield is at 14.7%. In December sugar yield slightly declined vs. previous months (affected by weather conditions), but on average it stays well above last year’s 14.1%. We expect that in current season total sugar production in Ukraine will make up to 2.1M tons (vs. 1.46M tons in previous season), export potential (taking into account local consumption at 1.55-1.6M tons) – more than 500k tons.
As we earlier reported during September-November (since the start of new season) sugar export from Ukraine made close to 215k tons.
