According to Ukrtsukor information as of October 24 Ukrainian sugar refineries produced 870k tons of sugar. Current sugar yield is 14.5%, 5.99M tons of sugar beets have been processed. Up to the date sugar beets have been harvested from the area of 163k ha (55% of total) with the yield of 46.3t/ha.
Basing on current figures we increase our projections as for Ukrainian sugar production in new season from 1.85-1.9M tons up to 1.95-2.0M tons. Export potential remains at 500k tons.
According to the information from ports currently first sizable sugar vessels are loaded in Ukrainian ports at the moment by international sugar traders, which (if successful) should further boost Ukrainian export.
