According to information disclosed by general manager of the company Boris Markov in his interview to Business magazine, in Y2016 total revenues of ATB-Market increased y-o-y by 25.5% and made UAH 58.5bln (more than USD 2bln, VAT incl.).
In Y2016 the company opened 112 new stores (their total number as of 31.12.16 made 835). The chain has been actively developing not only in its traditional regions of operations, but in relatively new ones – such as Odessa and Lviv region. In particular not so long ago the company closed the deal for acquisition of 17 stores which earlier belonged to Lviv-based Barvinok chain.
Along with it during FYs2018-19 ATB plans to launch two new logistic centers in Lviv and Odessa regions.
As a reminder ATB-Market is not only the largest Ukrainian food retail network by number of stores (and one of two clear market leaders by its total revenues), but also belongs to the most efficient chain on the market – it takes leading positions by sales per 1 sq m and inventory turnover. In addition the company always shows good payment discipline towards its suppliers.
