Ukrainian crude steel output further declines in April

According to uaprom.info in April 2017 total Ukrainian steel output made 1.572M tons, which is the lowest monthly volume for the latest years.

Decrease of steel production vs. previous month made 12%, vs. April’16 – 29%. Daily crude steel output is at its lowest level for the latest years as well:

Such negative results of Ukrainian steel industry is direct consequence of trade with non-controlled by Ukrainian government Donbass territory blockade. In addition in April situated on controlled by Ukraine territory DMK (Kamyanske) has been idle because of significant problems with working capital.

As for total January-April output, it made close to 7M tons, by about 15% lower vs. corresponding period of previous year.

Steel pipes production dynamics remains better – in April pipes output made close to 80k tons, close to the level of previous months and by 9% higher y-o-y. For the whole period of 4m 2017 steel pipes production made 325k tons, by 25% more than in 4m 2016. Output dynamics during last period of time looked as follows:
