Ukrainian crude steel output in June was close to 1.6M tons

According to uaprom.infoi n June 2017 total Ukrainian steel output made 1.59M tons, which is much lower than in June’16, and is just slightly above record-low April figure.

As a reminder in April Ukrainian steel production made 1.572M tons, which has been the worst monthly production value for the last years. General daily steel production dynamics during latest months looks as follows:

General situation for Ukrainian steel mills remains the same as before – DMK is idle and its further perspectives are uncertain, steel output at Zaporizhstal remains below last year’s in a view of repair works, steel mills situated in Mariupol work at far below their capacities as well.

As for total January-June 2017 output, it made close to 10.3M tons, which is by 17% lower y-o-y.

Steel pipes production dynamics remains relatively good – in June pipes output made close to 97k tons, by 16% higher than in May and by 43% higher y-o-y. For the whole period of H1 2017 steel pipes production made 506k tons, by 27% more than in corresponding period of Y2016. Output dynamics during last period of time looked as follows:
