According to customs statistics data poultry export from Ukraine in April 2017 made almost 31k tons (about USD 40M in money terms), which is by 23% higher y-o-y.
In total since the beginning of Y2017 Ukrainian companies exported about 96k tons of chickens (USD 124M), which is by 44% more than in corresponding period of Y2016.
Export dynamics (in k tons) during last period of time looks as follows:
In Y2016 Ukrainian poultry export made about 240k tons (vs. 161k tons in Y2015), which is USD 292.5M in money terms.
As for poultry import in April it made 6.8k tons. Average price of imported production remains much lower vs. average export price: in the reporting month import price made USD 0.4/t, export price – USD 1.3/t.
