Ukrainian grains export since the start of season made 21.2M tons

According to Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture since the start of new season (July 2016) and by December 23 grains export from Ukraine made 21.2M tons. Growth of grains export vs. corresponding period of previous year made close to 6%. During reporting period wheat export made 10.9M tons, corn – about 6M tons, barley – 4.2M tons. We expect that in following months corn export from Ukraine will be much more active – in current season it is to exceed 18.5M tons (total grains export is estimated at above 41M tons).

As we reported earlier, by December 2 Ukrainian farmers harvested grains from 13.6M ha (99% of planned area). As of reporting date total crop made 63.4M tons, which has been close to record-high for Ukraine volume of 63.8M tons reached in Y2014. Total grains crop in current season is estimated at record-high 64.2M tons.
