NCH increases its grains export from Ukraine

In Y2016 Ukrainian division of the Group – Agroprosperis – increased total grains export up to 2.5M tons (by 1M tons higher than a year ago), according to the statement on web-site of the company.

In the structure of export in 2016, 1.3M tons of grain and oilseeds were produced by NCH itself (with land bank of more than 400k ha NCH belongs to top-3 Ukrainian agri-holdings), while 1.2M tons were purchased from Ukrainian small and medium-sized agricultural producers within the Agroprosperis service platform, which provides a full range of products and services for efficient agricultural production.

80% of crops were exported by NCH to the countries of Asia, Europe, and Africa. The largest share in export - 30% - belongs to India, followed by EU countries with 23% share.

As for grains origination the company keeps development its partnership program with the farmers (providing them with financial sources for inputs purchase and off-taking grains, the group owns Agroprosperis Bank in Ukraine). To mitigate the problems with railway logistics in Ukraine (which became especially acute in the end of Y2016), recently the company invested in own railway wagons part, so now NCH owns 200 railcars (as a reminder the company also owns 12 grains silos, which support farming and grains trading business).
