Ukrainian eggs export in June has been subdued, local prices after weak spike in June decreased in the beginning of July.
According to customs statistics, Ukrainian shell eggs export in June made 5.8k tons for the value of USD 3.9M, which is below shell eggs export in May (7k tons, which is the highest value for the latest months), but is slightly above of June 2016 export. Egg products export in reporting month made (in money terms) just USD 544k.
In total since the beginning of Y2017 Ukrainian companies exported 30k tons of shell eggs for USD 22M, while value of egg products export stood just at about USD 3.3M.
More active vs. previous months export in May became one the main factors of Ukrainian domestic retail eggs prices increase June (vs. the lowest for the latest years May prices level by 18%). Along with it we note that basing on Ukrstat data, in the beginning of July trend reversed – prices declined by more than 10%.
