In reporting month Ukrainian companies exported 9.1k tons of shell eggs, which has been lower than a month ago (10.5k tons), but much higher y-o-y (2.7k tons).
We note that despite m-o-m decline in tons, in money terms shell eggs export remained almost unchanged – at the level of about USD 8M. Positive fact is growing shell eggs export selling price, which in October increased up to USD 881/t (+18% vs. September and +40% vs. August).
In total since the beginning of current year Ukrainian companies exported 71.5k tons of shell eggs (USD 51.6M), while in the same period of Y2016 – 43k tons for USD 37.6M. Export dynamics since the beginning of Y2017 looked as follows:
Egg products export in money terms in October made USD 932k, in total since the beginning of Y2017 – USD 6.2M (vs. USD 27.5M for 10m 2016).
Due to export growth and seasonal factors (usual lower eggs production in households since the beginning of autumn), local Ukrainian eggs prices keep growing. After increase by 18% in August, in September growth made 31%, in October – another 14%.
