Ukrainian grains export in June 2017 made close to 2.8M tons, which means that as a whole in MY2016/17 Ukraine exported record-high 43.8M tons, much higher vs. previous record – slightly more than 39M tons – set in previous season.
As for June results breakdowns, Ukrainian corn export in June made almost 2M tons (vs. less than 1M tons in June 2016), wheat – 734k tons (1.2M tons), barley – 100k tons.
In money terms Ukrainian grains export in June made USD 446M (vs. USD 602M in May and 547M in April).
In total in MY2017/17 Ukraine exported 17.5M tons of wheat (vs. 16.9M tons in MY2015/16), 20.7M tons of corn (17.4M) and 5.35M tons of barley (4.4M tons).
As a reminder, in current season total Ukrainian grains output was record-high and is estimated (by official statistics) at 66M tons (vs. 60M tons in My2015/16). Initially export potential was estimated by various sources at 39-41M tons. So factual grains export already exceeded even the most optimistic expectations (which can also mean that factual size of Ukrainian grains crops was higher than even record-high official figures).
