In January Ukrainian grains export made close to 3.7M tons

In particular corn export volume made about 2.3M tons, wheat – 1.2M tons. In addition export of soybeans comprised 292k tons, sunflower oil – 465k tons.

Both grains and sunflower oil export (in tons) decreased by 15% vs. December, but nevertheless remain quite strong, taking into account holidays in January and seasonality. Soybeans export volumes declined from record-high November and December figures (almost 1M tons during these two months) to more sustainable level (taking into account Ukrainian soybeans production in current season at about 4.3M tons).

Average export price in for corn in January made USD 151.5/t, soybeans – USD 373/t, sunflower oil – USD 771/t.

As was reported before, in current season Ukraine produced 66M tons of grains, 4.3M tons of soybeans and is expected to produce 5.7M tons of sunflower oil (for each type of mentioned agri-commodities it is record-high volume for Ukraine).
