According to Ukrstat information in Y2016 poultry production by Ukrainian enterprises made 991k tons (by 12% higher than in Y2015). Thereof 746k tons was production of fresh poultry meat (+5% y-o-y), 245k tons – frozen chickens (+40% y-o-y).
In absolute terms growth of production made 106k tons, main reason (which led to increase by 80k) is increasing export. As we reported earlier in Y2016 Ukrainian poultry export made 240k tons (+49% y-o-y), the share of export in total industrial production during last year made 24%.
In December’16 alone Ukrainian enterprises produced almost 105k tons of poultry meat. Growth vs. previous month made 5%, vs. December’15 – 34%.
MHP remains absolute leader among Ukrainian industrial poultry producers (with the share of more than 60%) and exporters (more than 80%).
