According to Ukrainian customs service in March 2017 poultry export from Ukraine reached 33.2k tons (about USD 45M in money terms), which is much higher vs. previous months.
Moreover volume of Ukrainian poultry export in March has been the highest monthly figure for the last years – for example, in Y2016 monthly record has been set in April, when Ukrainian companies exported 25.2k tons of chicken meat.
A year ago Ukrainian poultry export volume made 19.6k tons, which means in last reporting month y-o-y growth made almost 70%.
In total since the beginning of Y2017 Ukrainian companies exported almost 65k tons of poultry, which is by 57% higher than in corresponding period of previous year. In Y2016 Ukrainian poultry export made about 240k tons (vs. 161k tons in Y2015), which is USD 292.5M in money terms.
Export dynamics (in k tons) during last period of time looks as follows:
Import of poultry into Ukraine remains subdued – in March it made about 8k tons for about USD 3M (slightly lower vs. February). Average price of imported production in last reporting month made USD 0.38/kg, average price of export – USD 1.34/kg.
