According to customs statistics data poultry export from Ukraine in May 2017 made 28k tons (about USD 37.4M in money terms), which is by 35% higher y-o-y.
In total since the beginning of Y2017 Ukrainian companies exported almost 124k tons of chickens (USD 161M), which is by 42% more than in corresponding period of Y2016.
Export dynamics (in k tons) during last period of time looks as follows:
In Y2016 Ukrainian poultry export made about 240k tons (vs. 161k tons in Y2015), which is USD 292.5M in money terms.
As for poultry import in May it made 7.1k tons. Average price of imported production remains much lower vs. average export price: in the reporting month import price made USD 0.39/kg, export price – USD 1.3/kg.
