According to information of Ukragroconsult, in December 2016 large and middle-sized Ukrainian oilseeds crushers broke new record in monthly sunflower oil production. It made 558k tons vs. 529k tons in November and 363k tons in December 2015.
Along with it, by customs data Ukrainian export of sunflower oil in December made 557k tons, which is record-high monthly volume as well (+9% to December’15).
Since the start of new season large and middle-sized producers’ sunflower oil output made 2M tons, by 42% higher y-o-y. We also note that during September-December its export comprised 1.8M tons (+23% y-o-y). Total Ukrainian export in current season is estimated at 5.2M tons (production – 5.7M tons).
