Ukrainian farmers harvested 23M tons of grains

According to Ministry of Agrarian Policy by July 27 Ukrainian farmers harvested 23M tons of grains from the area of 6.5M ha (67% of total for early grains). At the moment average yield stands at 3.56t/ha.

As of reporting date agrarians almost completed harvesting of winter barley. Total harvested area stands at 855k ha (96% of total), reporting yield – 3.6t/ha. Spring barley has been harvested from the area of almost 1M ha (60% of plan, current yield is 2.9t/ha).

In addition, by July 27 Ukrainian farmers already harvested close to 16M tons of winter wheat (harvested area – 4.2M ha, reported yield – 3.8t/ha). Peas production up to the date is 0.9Mtons (average yield – 2.55t/ha, harvested area – 360k ha or 81% of the plan).

As a reminder in Y2016 average wheat yield in Ukraine made 4.2t/ha (total crop - 26M tons), barley – 3.4t/ha (9.8M tons), peas – 3.2t/ha (760k tons).
