According to APK-Inform analysts in September-December Ukrainian enterprises processed about 5.4M tons of sunflower seeds, which is by 19% higher y-o-y, and is record-high volume of crush for the whole history of the industry. Also it is about 40% of total expected volume of sunflower seeds crush in current season.

Basing on official statistics figures total volume of sunflower seeds harvest in Ukraine in MY2016/17 made 13.6M tons – the highest level in the history of industry in Ukraine (previous record was set in MY2015/16 with production of 11.2M tons). It is expected that total Ukrainian sunflower oil production in current season can reach 5.7M tons, export – 5.2M tons. Production and export dynamics during last seasons are presented on the chart below:

During September-December Ukrainian sunflower oil export made 1.8M tons (+23% y-o-y).
