Prolongation of agreement on Ukrainian grains corridor operations till the middle of March is favorable for short-term perspectives of Ukrainian export, at the moment the focus is on issues with insurance of the vessels coming to Ukrainian ports.
On the other side situation with corn harvesting in Ukraine improved. By the end of December Ukrainian farmers harvested corn from 78% of total planned area with the total output of more than 21M tons. During December alone the farmers harvested corn from 18% of total area. As a result volume of grains at risk to be not harvested till spring largely decreased.
