In the first six months of 2023, Ukrainian companies exported almost 25,000 tons of honey with a total value of $60 million.

According to preliminary data, the export of honey from Ukraine in June amounted to 3.7 thousand tons, which is 30% less than in the previous month.

The revenue from Ukrainian honey exports in the reporting month amounted to $8 million (-$3.3 million compared to May).

In total, in the first six months of the year, Ukraine exported 24.7 thousand tons of honey worth $60 million. The average selling price is $2.4 per 1 kg, which is 18% less than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The average export price decreased significantly in April and May of this year (from $2.65 per 1 kg during the first quarter to $2.13 per kg in May). In June, the price was almost unchanged compared to May.

Germany, Spain, and Poland were the main importers of Ukrainian honey in the reporting month.

We will remind that according to the data of customs statistics in 2022 Ukrainian honey exports amounted to 48 thousand tons, which is 17% lower than in 2021, at the same time, due to an increase in the average selling price by 15%, export revenue in monetary terms decreased only by 4.6% and amounted to $137 million.
