In the first half of 2023, Ukrainian exports of iron ore amounted to 8.3 million tons for $896 million.

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in June, Ukraine exported 1,477 million tons of iron ore for almost $144 million. This is less than in the previous month (1,522 million tons for $161 million). We note the continued decrease in the average price of Ukrainian iron ore exports - in the reporting month it was $97 per 1t compared to $106 per 1t in May. The monthly dynamics of iron ore exports from Ukraine and the average price are shown in the graph below:

In total, for the first half of 2023, Ukrainian exports of iron ore amounted to 8.3 million tons. This is half less than in the first half of Y2022, but 19% more than in the second half of 2022.
