In the first seven months of 2023, Ukrainian exports of poultry meat totaled 249,000 tons with a value of $465 million.

According to preliminary data of customs statistics, Ukrainian exports of poultry meat in July amounted to 36,000 tons, which is 3,000 tons less than in June, but generally corresponds to the average monthly export figure during the first half of 2023.

In total, in the first seven months of 2023, Ukraine exported 249,000 tons of chicken meat worth $465 million. Compared to January-July 2022, the export of chicken in tons increased by 7%, while in USD it decreased by 11% due to a significant decrease average sales price in the second half of 2022.

During the first six months of 2022, the average price of Ukrainian poultry meat exports was $2.2 per 1 kg, at the beginning of the current year it decreased to $1.7 per 1 kg, but during the second quarter of 2023 it increased again, in June and July being about $2 per 1 kg.

The main importers of Ukrainian chicken remain unchanged - the Netherlands (more than a third of total exports in July), Saudi Arabia and Slovakia.
