In the first eight months of 2023, Ukrainian exports of poultry meat amounted to 288,000 tons with a total value of $539 million.

According to preliminary data of customs statistics, Ukrainian exports of poultry meat in August amounted to 39.5 thousand tons, which is 3.6 thousand tons more than in July, and is the largest value of exports during one month since the beginning of 2023.

In total, in the first eight months of 2023, Ukraine exported 288,000 tons of chicken worth $539 million. Compared to January-August 2022, the export of chicken in natural volume increased by 9.5%, while in monetary terms it decreased by 8% due to a significant decrease average sales price in the second half of 2022.

During the first six months of 2022, the average price of Ukrainian poultry meat exports was $2.2 per 1 kg, at the beginning of the current year it decreased to $1.7 per 1 kg, but during the second quarter of 2023 it increased again, from May to July, it was about $2 per 1 kg (in August - $1.88 per kg).

The main importers of Ukrainian chicken remain unchanged - the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and Slovakia.
