In the reporting year, the total revenue of the ATB network remained almost unchanged compared to the previous year, the net profit decreased by two-thirds.
According to Opendatabot data, the net income of ATB Market in 2022 was almost unchanged compared to the previous year and amounted to UAH 148 billion.
In our opinion, the company kept its revenue in hryvnias at the level of the previous year only due to the increase in inflation (according to official data, on average, in 2022, the prices of food products increased by 26% compared to the previous year, alcohol - by 18%).
At the same time, sales in real terms decreased by approximately 20% - primarily because of the loss of almost 200 stores due to military operations and the occupation of part of the Ukrainian territory during February - September 2022.
The total number of ATB chain stores as of the end of 2021 was 1,314, and as of the end of September 2022 – 1,144. So the trade area of the network during the first nine months of 2022 decreased by approximately 13%. The net profit of ATB Market in 2022 amounted to UAH 2.8 billion compared to UAH 8.3 million in 2021.
