In Y2022 Syngenta Ukraine decreased revenue by 20%

Despite the impact of the full-scale Russian invasion, Syngenta operations in Ukraine remain profitable.

According to data from open sources, in 2022 the revenue of the Ukrainian division of the Syngenta group amounted to UAH 8.9 billion, 19% less than in 2021.

At the same time, the company's operating profit in the reporting year amounted to UAH 122 million, net profit - UAH 84 million (compared to the net profit of UAH 229 million in the previous year).

The company's profitability has significantly decreased since 2019 - if during 2017-18, the net profit of Syngent Ukraine was about UAH 500 million annually, since 2019 it has decreased to about UAH 100 million on average.

In total, over the last six years of operations in Ukraine, Syngenta's total net profit amounted to about UAH 1.4 billion.

As a reminder, according to the Syngenta group financial report for 2022, the group's revenue increased from $16.7 billion to $20 billion, operating profit was $2.85 billion, net profit - $1.9 billion ($1.4 billion in 2021).

Syngenta did not suffer significant losses as a result of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, the group continues to work in the Russian Federation (the group report notes the increase in sales of sunflower seeds in the Russian Federation in 2022).
