In the first quarter of 2023 Kyivstar improved its financial performance

According to the operating report of Kyivstar's parent company, Veon Holding, the revenue of the largest Ukrainian mobile operator in the first quarter of 2023 exceeded UAH 8 billion.

In the first quarter of 2023, the total number of users of the company mobile services decreased by 7% compared to last year and amounted to 24.3 million people.

Despite this, due to the increase in tariffs, Kyivstar's revenue in the reporting quarter increased by 6% compared to last year and amounted to UAH 8.4 billion. The company's EBITDA (operating profit before depreciation) was almost unchanged compared to the first quarter of 2022 and amounted to UAH 4.9 billion.

During the reporting period, investments in the company's development amounted to UAH 780 million.

As for the other Kyivstar operating performance figures, currently the number of registered Helsi users is 25 million people, among them 2.5 million people actively used the system during the quarter (1.8 million appointments with doctors were made in the system).

The number of Kyivstar TV subscribers was about 1 million people, which is 27% more than last year's number.

As a reminder, despite the full-scale Russian invasion, in 2022 Kyivstar increased its revenue compared to the previous year by 8.2% to UAH 31 billion (in dollar terms, revenue decreased by 8%).
