1 February 2023

In total since the beginning of MY2022/23 Ukraine exported 26.8M tons of grains vs. 38M tons a year ago and 28.5M tons in MY2020/21

Main reason of exports decrease vs. previous months were constant delays with vessels inspection in frames of "grains corridor" in Turkey. Current agreement formally expires in the mid-March, main market players expect its prolongation.

On the other side situation with corn harvesting in Ukraine further improved. By the end of January Ukrainian farmers harvested corn from 90% of total planned area with the total output of more than 25M tons.

It means that under current levels of stock Ukraine can additionally export till the end of the season up to 7M tons of wheat and 15-16M tons of corn.
