Sunflower seeds exports remain absolutely insignificant - the sunflower seeds crush margin is lower vs. previous season due to significantly higher competition between processors for the seeds (and on top of this we note the reluctance of farmers to sell sunflower seeds at low prices), which, in turn, makes sunflower exports unprofitable.
Sunflower harvesting in Ukraine has already ended. According to preliminary data of Minagro, sunflower was threshed from an area of 5 million hectares. The yield is 2.38 t/ha, total crop made more than 11.9 million.
