In Y2023 AMKR reduced crude steel output by 18.5%

In 2023, Arcelor Mittal Kryvyi Rih, the long-time leader of the Ukrainian metallurgical industry, produced 1 million tons of steel - 18.5% less than in 2022.

According to the company's report, in 2023 the output of iron ore concentrate at AMKR amounted to 4.6 million tons, almost unchanged y-o-y.

Crude steel output by the mill amounted to 1 million tons (-18.5% y-o-y), AMKR's share in total Ukrainian steel production in 2023 made only 16% (Zaporizhstal plant was the leader in output volume with about 40% share).

As for the other production figures of AMKR, the output of coke by the steel mill in 2023 was 0.9 million tons (in 2022 – 1.1 million tons), pig iron – 1.5 million tons (1.6 million tons).

In 9m 2023 revenues of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih made UAH 30.7 bln, by UAH 7 bln lower y-o-y, while net loss amounted to UAH 8.3 bln.
