The revenue of the ATB-Market Ukrainian food retail chain in 2024 exceeded 200 billion UAH, group’s EBITDA is estimated at 15 billion UAH
According to the financial report of ATB-Market (a company operating food retail networkwith the same name), ATB's revenue for 2024 was UAH 208 billion, which is 15% higher than in 2023.
Gross profit of ATB-Market in the reporting year was UAH 56 billion (a year ago - UAH 48 billion), operating profit - UAH 5.2 billion (UAH 603 million), net profit - UAH 3.1 billion (compared to a net loss of UAH 450 million in 2023).
It is worth noting that the profitability of ATB's business is distributed between the operating company itself - ATB Market, as well as several other companies - asset owners, such as ATB Invest, ATB Torgstroy, Logistics Union and others. Net profit of just one company, Logistics Union, in 2024 amounted to UAH 3 billion, which is approximately the same as net profit of the operating company ATB-Market itself.
Also, when analyzing ATB-Market's financial statements, it is worth considering the peculiarities of accounting for rental expenses (actually paid rental payments are not reflected in operating expenses, but in cash flow from financing activities), so we tried to estimate the overall EBITDA (operating profit before depreciation, interest and income tax) of ATB Group, taking into account all these adjustments.
According to our estimates, ATB Group EBITDA in 2024 was about UAH 14-15 billion (compared to approximately UAH 8-10 billion in 2023).
We should also note that in 2024, ATB-Market paid UAH 3.4 billion in dividends to its shareholders.
The financial standing of both ATB-Market and the entire group remains quite decent. The Group almost does not use bank loans, however, as of December 31, 2024, the amount of its inventories (8.4 billion UAH) and cash (13.5 billion UAH) was sufficient to cover accounts payable to suppliers (18.2 billion UAH).
The company still maintains high inventory turnover rates - in 2024, this indicator for ATB-Market was 23-24 days, which is a very good figure, even when compared to leading global retailers.
The average payables period with the network's suppliers in 2024 was 45 days.
