In 2023, Ukrainian exports of chocolate made 53.4 thousand tons with a total value of $191 million.

According to customs statistics, in December, Ukrainian companies exported 4.8 thousand tons of chocolate worth $18 million, for the whole Y2023 – 53.4 thousand tons worth $191 million.

In our opinion, the blockade of the Ukrainian-Polish border by Polish transporters had a negative impact on export figures at the end of the year - during the high season of sweets sales.

Ukrainian import of chocolate in December amounted to 3,000 tons worth $18 million, for 2023 as a whole - 31,000 tons worth $166 million.

For comparison, in 2022, Ukraine exported 45,000 tons of chocolate worth $143 million, imported 32,000 tons worth $130 million.
