Despite the significant reduction in sunflower stocks in Ukraine, the export of sunflower oil remained active in June.

According to preliminary data, Ukrainian sunflower oil exports amounted to 476,000 tons in June, which significantly exceeded both our previous expectations and the figure of the previous month (453,000 tons).

The largest importers of Ukrainian sunflower oil in the reporting month were Romania, Turkey and India.

In total, since the beginning of the 2022/23 season, Ukrainian sunflower oil exports amounted to almost 4.7 million tons (for the same period last season – 3.8 million tons).

Given that there are two months left until the end of the season, we can project that the export of sunflower oil in the season will total about 5 million tons.

Due to the significant reduction of sunflower seeds stocks in Ukraine, its export remains extremely insignificant (since the beginning of the 2022/23 season, Ukrainian companies have exported 1.9 million tons of sunflower seeds).
