In December 2023, the production of pig iron at Zaporizhstal amounted to 266,000 tons, steel smelting - 229,000 tons.

Production figues of Zaporizhzhya steel mill are at a stable level for the fourth month in a row (after a temporary reduction in June, which was connected with repair works).

In December 2023, pig iron output by Zaporizhstal amounted to 266,000 tons, which is 87% higher than in December of the previous year.

The dynamics of crude steel production is almost identical to the pig iron - in December Zaporizhstal produced 229,000 tons of crude steel (three times more than in December 2022).

In total, in 2023, the production of pig iron at Zaporizhstal amounted to 2.7 million tons (+35% y-o-y), and steel - almost 2.5 million tons (+65% vs. 2022, but -37% vs. 2021).

Currently, the plant is operating with three of the four available blast furnaces. With the same usage of production capacity, Zaporizhstal can produce up to 3 million tons of pig iron in 2024.
